Aluminum alloy and stainless steel, presumably we are not unfamiliar, we can also be seen everywhere in life. So what's the difference?
1. Weight and color
Aluminum alloy is relatively light in quality and dull in color, while stainless steel is on the contrary, its color is bright and heavy.
2. Prices are different
Stainless steel is expensive, aluminum alloy is cheap.
3. Different high temperature resistance
Stainless steel can withstand high temperature, melting point in 1200- 1500 degrees Celsius; Aluminum alloys cannot withstand high temperatures and melt at between 500 and 800 degrees Celsius.
4. Hardness is different
Aluminum alloy has low density, but high strength, close to steel, good plasticity; Stainless steel is nickel-chromium alloy, hardness is higher than aluminum alloy.
5. Different surface treatments
Stainless steel surface treatment has surface bright treatment, surface whitening treatment, surface coloring treatment; Aluminum alloy treatment includes electroplating, spraying, anodizing and so on.
6. Industrial applications are different
Stainless steel has heat resistance, oxidation resistance, good formability and good weldability, can be used as ultra-high strength materials in nuclear industry, aviation and aerospace industry applications; Aluminum alloy for processing needs to have good formability but does not require high strength parts, such as chemical products, food industry equipment and storage containers, printing plates, nameplates, reflective appliances, etc.
The characteristic of aluminum alloy and stainless steel is not the same, they are having respective advantages, so the scene that suits to use is not the same, only in the scene that suits, have appropriate stage, ability develops their respective advantage.
